No seriously, if you do indulge, tell us, what gives you the WORST hangover – and how you revive yourself! What are your beauty must haves the the morning after the night before?

Brian Lenihan… I can only laugh

  • Jen says:

It is always a possibilty sarah, but my read on tallies and counts so far would show Enda as a personality gaining in popularity (will prob bring in a second candiatein Mayo), however as a leader on a national basis he is unproven and the debate with Berite showed this.
He has made large inroads and done a lot to revive FG, but this time round it is more an issue of economic management and he was seen as a wildcard. Over the last week there was general swagger and cockiness in his appearances, and Irish voters do not respond well to over confidence of this kind in anyone. I think this damaged them, he just doesn’t have the Bertie Love.

  • sarah says:

ya, Enda is too honest obviusyl the people want an ol charming ganster!
    toatlly agree pinkpanther..u go girl!!

  • shauna says:

Well I guess thats the choice people were faced with, and it looks like FG didnt do enough in the run up to the election to convice people that they were a viable alternative to ff. I always felt that Enda Kenny was too busy throwing out buzz words like “more hospitol beds” and “more guards” over the past while, and I thought bertie did well in deconstructing their promises at the debate ..

  • pinkpanther says:

And don’t get me started on the corruption. I know Fine Gael aren’t the most inspiring or charasmatic but I don’t see how they can do a worse job. I’m just hoping now that the Greens or Labour will be needed for a coalition…

  • Foxglove says:

I don’t know all that much about Enda; I’ve nothing against him and would love if he and his party succeeded. Mairead McGuinness is an excellent speaker and if Enda had to go she should be the one to take over. She’d take no messing not even from Miriam O’Caaaaallaghan

  • Nikki says:

Jebus girlies, don’t be getting worked up!! :) :) Miriam O Caaaaallaghan for Taoiseach! She has 8 kids to her credit! If she can run that big a household, she could run the country!!! (Joke!)

  • Jen says:

pinkpanther, I think their is a strong possibilty of Lab/ Gr going into coalition with FF. I don’t think at the moment the PDs have enough and the independents are going to be wiped out (prob half of current crop returned)and not all of them would be FF possibilities. With possible number of seats projected for FF they will look to coalition with a smaller group in order to maximise their own cabinet portfolios. Labour would require several ministries and if FF get a high number of seats they won’t want to give these up.

  • Cacamilis says:

This election lark has me like a kid overdosed on Skittles on his Communion day . I’m not impressed with the FFness of it all.
But anyway …. did anyone actually get those vouchers for Rimmel nail varnish?
Where in Dublin would I go to get a quiffy up do ?
In other news … I tried the Laura Mercier mineral foundation stuff in BTs last weekend. I prefer the l’Oreal stuff actually . And the lilylolo powder is fab but I’ve got a bit of a farmers tan from cycling so I’ll have to save it until winter.
McDowell tried to knock me down in the Triangle in Ranelagh on Monday . I shouted “One vote less” at him and had happy thoughts about him being state carless today . Looks like my dream came true ….

  • Jen says:

cacamilis, he nearly tripped me walking his dog one day outside his house. I wish I had placed a bet on this days ago as I thought he may not get his seat.

  • Foxglove says:

Nikki .. God Forbid MOC to lead us .. no way Jose, I can’t stick her drawwwwly voice – I mean on Questions & Answers!

  • Glitterkitty says:

    cacamilis.. i’m in mcdowall’s constituency
and i’m kinda disappoited that he’s battling it out for the last seat w john gormley
i thought the greens would poll higher in Dub South East..
i’d love mcdowall to go.. weasel..

  • Nic says:

6 SEATS FILLED…. 5 by FF, and one by Fg, the office is laughing at my excitment by the whole thing!

  • MontyC says:

Has anyone ever used Guerlain pressed powder?

  • Foxglove says:

and while I’m on the subject of draaaawwwly voices and accents, I had the misfortune to listen to and watch Blaithnaid Ni … oh merciful hour someone put a muzzle on her, and Sheana Keane, the lesser of the two evils .. BNiC reminds me of a farmyard animal on 2 legs .. I. Can’t. Stick. Her. I only watched the Afternoon Show (on tape) cos of That wedding.

  • Shauna says:

    enjoy ye’re wk ends

  • pinkpanther says:

Cacamilis – what a swine. I’m praying with every fibre of my body and soul that Gormley gets in and not McDowell. It’s my constituency so Gormley knows he has one vote anyway

  • Giovanna says:

Hi all – just popped in for a quick blather today!
Cleo – FAB news girl!!!! Can’t wait to hear how it goes for ya!
    Flirty – Sherman/Soze obviously doesn’t deserve you…

Your election anlaysis is great girls! Depressing news that there is no real change but as some-one said, there was no real alternative. Flippin depressing result though. Can’t believe Conor Kermit Lenihan elected again….he is such a waste of space! Fell asleep on the phone to TV3 one morning!!

  • MontyC says:

Just thought I’d throw that question in there ;-)

  • Lynnie says:

    Tee hee Monty! :)

I haven’t tried it but I love the look of the Guerlian stuff… so sophis.

  • Aphrodite says:

who was it again who got the new Chanel?

  • MontyC says:

Aphrodite – if you mean one of the new Chanel colour palettes from their summer collection, then that would be moi :-)

  • Nikki says:

Sarah, know what u mean, I need a vodka! Trying to organise a summer barbeque here for next week, Thursday night and I’ve people backing out left, right and centre! (Election pun intended!) Don’t know if I’ll have enough now.

  • Aphrodite says:

oh so it was!! what’s the verdict then?

  • MontyC says:

Aphrodite – there are four lip glosses and two eye shadows in each palette (there are two). One has cooler shades, the other has warmer ones and this is the one I went for as we’re (please God) facing into summer! There are two brushes in the compact but I haven’t really used them much as it’s as easy to use your fingers. It’s one of those things that are really handy to carry around instead of half of your make up bag! I’m really happy it! :-)

  • Aphrodite says:

Meant to say this earlier – for the first time ever there will be a WEEKEND BLATHER!!

  • Giovanna says:
