Doesn’t it seem almost as though everyone and their granny has had a go of this grey hair thing? For the most part, I haven’t liked the silver foxette trend one little bit. Pixie Geldof looked haggard and washed out, Tavi looked like she’d misplaced her knitting needles, and even La Moss only stuck with her blue rinse for one day.
So I was very surprised to find myself loving Kelly Osbourne’s newly platinumised locks. There’s more than a hint of lavender to it – Dame Edna was the inspiration, according to Kelly herself – and unlike most of her celebridee counterparts, this hair colour doesn’t seem to prematurely age its wearer by decades.
Debuting her new colour at a Vanity Fair shindig in LA last week, she kept things looking vintage rather than ancient by pairing it with a natural-looking base, nude eye, fluttery lashes, lilac pink lippie (Lady Ga Ga for MAC Viva Glam) and a shimmery coral blusher that looks Orgasm-alike.

i do actually quite like it on her, she looks great

No I’m sorry I’m still not getting the grey trend at all – it doesn’t suit anyone. Granted it’s bit better on Kelly than some others and it’s a good headline grabber – but that’s about it!
I think it’s fab on her! Her hair and makeup are better than ever – this look suits her much better than the ‘jet black hair & deathly pale foundation’ look that she used to have.
This look great on her, would never do it myself though!
She looks fab these days.

Her hair looks amazing, I was looking at the photos of her at the Oscars after-party and I so wish I could pull that ‘do off.
Have to agree with Aphro, I am just not getting this look. AT ALL. Between the abundance of nude-y, beige-y, boring gowns at the Oscars and now this pale and uninteresting look du jour, it seems as if all the ‘slebs are trying to fade into the background on us. Really not a fan at all.

In general I don’t like the fake grey hair fad, but I do think she looks lovely here. When she opens her mouth to talk is when I want to punch her though. I hate her fake niceness and California-ness that she has going on at the moment. Or maybe it was always? I just never noticed.
I don’t like Kelly’s hair at all. I think she looks older than Sharon here, but I do think she has amazing skin though. Wish mine looked like that

Love the makeup, hate the hair. As one who spends ungodly amounts of €€ to disguise mine every month, I don’t get grey hair as a trend.
I think she kinda looks like she should be on a slab on CSI – think it’s the lippy that really does it
Yeah she looks seriously washed out with that hair colour. No no no. Apart from that, love her make up always have done. She doesn’t seem quite as fun now that she’s super slim. Same thing happened to Nicole Richie.

I hate it on Kelly, it looks way too trendy and I don’t think it does anything for her at all. I saw a picture of the entire ensemble she had on and It screamed “fashion victim goes nuts in Topshop”
Oddly enough I actually thought it looked kinda cute in Pixie. (though again I’m not a fan of “trendy” hair.)
Gick IMHO. It looks a tiny bit better on her than others, probably because of the tint of lavender, but other than that me no likey. Completely agree with you Lucyloo – this season sucks for the washed out nude, beige, and drab pastel looks. Dull, dull, dull.
Hair is yuck! i just ask myself ‘why’? (obvious answer might be ‘media attention’). Makeup is nice though.

Can you imagine waking up after a night out with a greyish tinge in your face which perfectly matches your Granny O Grim hair?! Here’s a quid Kelly Oz buy a clue!
This is actually lavendar according to Kelly, I follow her on twitter and she said she just used bleach then an old lady lavendar rinse over it.I think it looks cute!
Yea, I like it. Nice lavender colour, it’s cool but not something you’d have for ages. And usually I wouldn’t be into the “matchy-matchy”-ness of hair and lipstick colour but I think she looks gorgeous. Oh and have to agree with those above who said she seems less fun now she’s so thin, kinda feels like she’s finally been taken in by LA-LA land.
No it is just wrong! I don’t think the grey hair looks well on any of the celebridees that have tried it – maybe there is a reason mortal women are slaves to (what my mother would call) a “rinse” as soon as grey hairs first start making themselves known.

Have to agree with lucyloo here, all the high street colours at the moment are all manky washed out colours. Is it a between seasons thing or is that what we can expect all summer?
I’m a big fan of wearing vibrant colours….I hate the high street!
Have you seen her after Oscar party look? It looks a lot more lavender here and apart from the bouffant-y look of the style, I kinda like it!

Love the gruig on her, she can defo pull it off with her style , she looks great. She has such beautiful skin.
She looks gorgeous, but I don’t like gray hair.
