Thanks Lva girl, that’s great. Alornable-Sam MacCauleys are doing 25% off Guinot Hydradermie facials (they are excellent), there is a salon in Douglas and Bishopstown. Aquaspa Bishopstown and Douglas are offering Dermalogica and Elemis facials for €60 this month
Thanks Lava girl, that’s great. Alornable-Sam MacCauleys are doing 25% off Guinot Hydradermie facials (they are excellent), there is a salon in Douglas and Bishopstown. Aquaspa Bishopstown and Douglas are offering Dermalogica and Elemis facials for €60 this month
Gee Gee – my parents couldn’t afford to send all of us to lessons & they thought it would be unfair for just one of us so we didn’t learn. Mam says she kinda regrets that as she learned the piano when she was younger & loved it. Might try for that next year but would have to learn to read music.
I agree with the stress busting thing. I use singing to get out emotions I’m having issues with. For example – we’re doing a show at the end of the course & I’m thinking of doing Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom but it’ll be on just bout a week before my dad’s 2nd anniversary – dealing with it through song!
I actually had a bad experience at Origin’s myself. Will never go back there. Thanks a mill for the recommendations. Think I’m going to look into John Geany. Hayfield Manor is close to where I live too so could be ideal. You swear I’d loads of cash to be splashing on hair and facials. But, it’s just that time of year with the January blues where one feels they need a pick me up. Nothing like getting the gruaig done for lifting the spirits!
excuse the duplicate post, meant to say that Sam McCauleys is in Blackpool, not Bishopstown
alornable – there is a thread about hairdresser in Cork in the Forum – just do a search. Personally, I like Jeff Devines in Wilton – used to go there all time & found them great, not convenient to me anymore though
I second the Aveda Spa in Imperial.
We all need a little bit of pampering sometimes alornable
Besides January is over next week and you have to be looking your best for spring!
Indeed! I’d be doing the world an in justice if I didn’t make myself beautiful for Spring!
like a daffodil emerging from the snow
Susan – Fair play to you! I also used to be involved in choirs/ musicals years ago, but somewhere it got lost along the way. Getting back into it this year as I’ve noticed a huge link between how much I sing and my mood. I’m so happy when I have music in my life. I’m going through a spell of depression at the mo, so I’m pushing myself to get out and get singing. I’ll be performing in the chorus of Carrick On Suir Musical Society’s Sweeney Todd at the end of February. T’will be nerve-wracking to stand on stage again, but hopefully good for the soul!
I absolutely adore “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again”. Such a beautiful song and a fitting tribute to your Dad. Best of luck with it. Give it socks!!!
lolkat – Woah fair play to you as well! I know bout the stage nerves – it’s why I’m doing this course coz I get so nervous just before I sing. Thanks hun. It’s always been one of my fav songs from my fav (and my dad’s) show. Just hope I get hit the notes now!
alornable – I like your thinking!
used to do musicals in school too , loved it – did Annie, Irene, My Fair Lady & a few more!
Kirstie – ordered my Blackberry Bold 9700 today so will hopefully have it tomorrow
Hey ladies, could anyone tell me what you use a fan brush for? I’m seeing them everywhere and have no idea what they’re for! thanks
just did my Stickey manicure but used a very light pink colour and have just noticed a wee bit of a green sheen of my nails. Must use a darker colour next time. Will see how many days i get out of it.
