Hi guys,
I have a question for you regarding hair products. My question is about shampoo and conditioner, I need someone to recommend a new set to me! My hair is fine but thick, I straighten nearly every day and its layered but the shortest layer is to my chin and the longest touches my shoulder. Anyway, at the moment I usually just use whatever was on special offer in the supermarket and I pick up the Normal hair one. My hair is in good condition but I want to keep it that way. I do use a Kerestase mask thing every so often.
So help me please!!!!! Recommend a shampoo and conditioner!

Lucky you! Your hair sounds fab – and of course you want to keep it that way.
Your hair is in good condition, so it’s all about keeping the moisture you already have in your hair. The straighteners will suck it all out given half the chance. Make sure you keep up with your deep conditioning treatment once a week and get regular trims in the hairdresser. Stick with your Kerastase deep conditioning masque – it’s really good.
As far as shampoo and conditioner go I think Redken would suit you.
Try Redken Clear Moisture shampoo and conditioner. Or if you feel you’d like a more moisturising range use Redken All Soft instead (I love this!)
For a budget buy, I’ve been hearing very good reports about the new Sunsilk range. Sunsilk Respect and Balance would be good for your hair type.

I have the pink sunsilk respect and balance shampoo and conditioner and they’re lovely – really nice fruity smell off them too.
Have to give props to Sunsilk too! Real results on the cheap, yay! I’m using the blue shampoo & conditioner for adding body and it’s working like a charm- I too am a slave to my GHD (tsk tsk, I know) and as such, my hair can look a bit flat, and I have noticed a subtle bit of oomph to my locks since using the Sunsilk stuff.
[...] A few weeks back I asked Kirsty and Aisling over at Beaut.ie for some help with a hair dilema and they were more than happy to help. They recommended two different shampoo and conditioner combos. One was a Redken and the other a Sunsilk. Well as much as I wanted the Redken, I just couldn’t spend that much at that time so I paid a visit to tesco and read the back of a couple of different Sunsilk products, in the end I chose the “Care and Repair” range as I felt that altough I couldn’t see alot of damage to my hair, being a slave to the GHD must have taken its toll!! I have EXTREMELY dry, curly (basically unmanageable) hair. Is it recommended to apply a deep conditioner onto dry hair (ie not washed) and leave for a while?

My hair is the same so I feel your pain! Kerastase make the BEST masques. Wash your hair, towel dry it, slather on the masque for 20mins or more. Then rinse out. Result! – I promise you
