No7 Eye Cream Causes Shopping Frenzy!

Now, there’s some words I never thought I’d hear – a No7 product being so good that it’s causing stampedes to Boots resulting in a complete sell out in a ton of branches! What am I on about? Aphrodite blogged about this the other day in her post about Prof Regan’s Beauty Parlour, where a gen-u-ine doctor tested a ton of beauty products to see if they lived up to their wild claims. Guess what? Most of them didn’t, but the No7 Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum was hotly tipped. Hence the resulting stampede of female type hooves to their nearest Boots.

The Daily Mail has more:

Sales of a €17 Boots brand anti-ageing cream have soared by 2000 per cent following an independent study showing it reduces wrinkles.

Many stores have run out of the ‘No7 Protect & Perfect Serum’ after the product was featured on a BBC Horizon programme on Tuesday.

By the next day the Boots webstore had completely sold out of the product. Such is demand that a number of Boots outlets have had to draw up waiting lists for customers

  • Admin says:

I bet it won’t be – these sellouts only seem to happen in the UK. I was in boots in liffey valley the other day and they had stacks of st tropez everyday and then you read about people queueing up for it!?

  • Admin says:

  • Zita says:

Ah, this reminds me of the Johnson’s Holiday Skin Sell Out of 2005, following a zillion rave reviews. My phone number at the time was one digit away from that of the local Boots and you wouldn’t believe how many phone calls I received from panicking women seeing if it was in stock!

  • cathyfly says:

ah yes Zita i remember it well….perfectly sane women selling their grannies for a 6 quid bottle of body lotion !

interesting re No 7 serum…I have a 7.50 euro voucher for No 7 in Boots which expires tomorrow, i may have to try it out and see what all the fuss is about!

  • Blondie says:

Hmmm… think I have a sample size of this at home somewhere, must dig it out & give it a go.

  • Lyns says:

I’ve heard the same stuff that is in this is in the No7 Uplifting Day and Night creams. Anyone know anything about this?

My Boots has run out of the serum, but my pharmacy has got the uplifting creams, think I might give that a go.

  • Blondie says:

Girls, this is the Nivea cream that the programme mentioned…

  • Aphrodite says:

    whoohoo good detective work blondie!

  • Blondie says:

Why thank you! I was looking at the Nivea stuff in Boots today trying to work out which one it was and the only one I could see with vitamins in it was the Sunkissed Skin moisturiser. I knew that couldn’t be it, so came home, got on the net and didn’t rest until I found out which one it was! (God, I’m sad)

  • Aphrodite says:

no you’re not – EVERYONE was dying to know what the mystery products were!

  • Susan Lorimar says:

no i am afraid it does not work! i tried for three months i am 34 and reasonable looking and it did not do a jot to my skin at all! its a marketing ploy and not a very clever one at that.

  • Destardi says:

    I’m in the US..Chicago, IL…Just wanted to say I love you Brits…

    Sorry for George Bush. :(

  • Aphrodite says:

Hi Destardi glad to have you with us! But we’re IRISH on Beaut.ie!! Big difference!!

  • Di says:

I have tried the No 7 eye cream and it does work. I’m 30 and had started to notice spidery wrinkles under my eyes. After a few days of using the cream they have almost disappeared. I have tried a lot of under eye creams made by Lancome, Chanel and Dior and they made no difference but for some reason this one which is far cheaper seems to do the trick.

  • Sha says:

Thinking about buying the No. 7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum or the Eye Cream. Wondering which product works better because I have lines under my eyes! The beauty serum and eye cream are two separate products yes?

  • Sweetdream78 says:

My Mom has tried for the first time and she is very very happy about, because of the hypoallergen and soft skin after trying!! it works!! she tried many different creams before and allways the same:red skin allergie!!

i think it is a very good product!

    best wishes from germany
and sorry for my bad english
