In our Stars of 2006 poll for Best Beauty Gadget, loads of you gave a resounding thumbs up to Tweezerman tweezers, and yeah, they really are the best.
I’ve had ones with finer points alright, so fine they actually went into the hair follicle, oow, but nothing else I’ve tried combines Tweezerman’s ability to have super thin tips with sheer tweezing ability.
I’d be lost without mine, and if you’ve never indulged, then now’s the time. You can pick up a pair from Boots no bother, but if you fancy buying online then Strawberrynet is yer only man. They say the discount is 3% but it’s definitely more than that – the wide grip pair on the left there are on sale for €15.50 and they cost about – €18-€19 in the shops. Gals, you know what to do!!

I have mine for years now. Is there some type of lifetime guarantee on these? I seem to remember that if you felt it getting blunt, you could send it off to be re-sharpened.
I love mine and wouldn’t be without them – I’ve tried others and they’re never as good!
Yes they’re guaranteed for life! You can send them off if they get blunt. But Kirstie swears by sharpening hers by sanding it gently with an emery board
i remember buying my tweezerman and it cost €21 everyone thought i was bleedin crazy but once you use it there is no comparison with the normal tweezers
Ooo, good tip on the emery board: I’ll give it a go with a really fine board. I’m a terror for opening packaging with them, and the worst sin – pulling off the sticky tags on the bottom of shoes with them! Saves the nails though.

Good tip on the nail varnish remover Bee! That is a pet hate of mine – I get so upset when I see girls with a really nice pair of shoes, and then when they walk away, all you can see is a flash of white underneath the sole!!! Aagghh, getting annoyed just thinking about it!!
I use those cheap nail varnish remover pads to take the shoe stickers off. That flash of white – It’s a pet hate of mine too ClaireBear.
Jemma Kidd Make-up school do good tweezers too – same design and style as Tweezerman (prob not as good but what I don’t know I don’t miss!)
Another thing to add to my Boots list this weekend – I’m getting sick of my old cheapie tweezers. It’s a bit of an effort to get the fine hairs with them. And I love the wide grip!
well i went in to boots and purchased these at lunchtime they cost €17.95 but free to me as i had a build up of points!! hope they are good!!
Oh my god how on earth did you build up all those points? Must have taken ages. As soon as I’ve built up about five euro I spend it! I’ve no self-control at all!

ARGH jesus god no, not an emery board! EMERY PAPER!!!! you need to buy fine grade emery paper from a hardware shop. an emery board will ruin a tweezers. Rub the inside of the points on it to sharpen them.
