Winter Skin Saviours: Can a €136 Serum from ph Advantage Save Your Skin?

This piqued my interest when it popped into my inbox last week: claiming to have the highest percentage of hyaluronic acid of any skincare product, ph Advantage’s AM/PM Hyaluronic Infusion contains 45% of the stuff. But what’s so great about that? This scary-sounding acid is actually a total skin Godsend as it’s able to hold many, many times its own weight in water, so it’s an excellent hydrator and is often used in moisturisers. Unusually, you use this after your moisturiser, not before.

It’s a complete understatement to say it’s not cheap at €136 for 51ml,  you’ll find it at Harvey Nichols, Dundrum if you’ve got the cash and think it’s the wonder-product for you.

It sounds scary and looks scary…:) but if it works…

  • Nicki.C says:

I have used this and think it’s wonderful, am 32 weeks pregnant and my skin has maintained it’s health all the way through. I wear before my moisturiser though.

  • joanne says:

I use it as well, I meet Dr Cohen when he was over from the Us at one of his Skin seminars… I have v dry skin and in my my mid 30′s I love it! leaves my skin feeling great and also is a great base under your makeup

def worth the money and lasts for ages

  • lilly says:

Amazing and only £65 at Harvey Nichs!

  • leanne says:

This product is great.. I suffer with breakouts and abit scared to moisturise my face for this reason, But this product really helps with my hydration levels without making my skin breakout more! My skin loves it and soaks it in very quick! i agree with lady above, make up sits very nice on top!

  • Lynne says:

Bloody hell was i the only one that took the image up wrong and thought you had to inject this into your dry areas! Ha ha i was wincing at the post thinking no no i wouldnt be able to self administer this!! ;-)

  • MilkyMoo says:

Is that price correct? The pH Advantage website has it at $56… I know we pay over the odds here but that sems a bit mad, no?

  • Kirstie says:

yep I know it’s an appalling difference, it’s £65 in the UK. I checked with HN and that’s what I was told. I have a post coming up tomorrow or wed about price issues, so keep yer eyes peeled for it.

  • Orlando says:

That’s obscene! That should be about e40 if it’s $56, what?!

  • Kirstie says:

nah, it would be coming in from HN in the UK so it really should reflect UK prices more realistically and not some crazy figure plucked out of thin air.

  • Shell says:

I bought this around a month ago and it’s FABULOUS! Well worth the £65 and I was also at a seminar with Dr. Cohen in Harvey Nics and had a facial in the Medispa, the girl used it in my treatment aswell. His full range is great and really works!

  • xgirl says:

Interesting to know the UK price – I’d definitely try this at that price level but not at €136.

  • MilkyMoo says:

Oh my GOD Kirstie I was hoping you had made a mistake with that, I am shocked – really shocked. It’s more than TWICE the price? Jesus I don’t think I’ve been so angry about a price difference before… After just having been in Belfast I was riled up enough as it was, but this is despicable.

  • KellBell says:

Is this really more suitable for dry skin? Or could you use it on oily skin too?

  • Nicki.C says:

It is not 136 euros it is 71 euros at Harvey Nichols and you can buy it from the pH website http://www.phadvantage.co.uk which is £65 (english pounds). Kirstie you need to change the details as you have put the wrong figure in. Trust me it is brilliant!

  • tina says:

OK now I want this… not going to pay €135 though, but I’d pay £65.

  • Nicki.C says:

….also it is not 15ml it is 51ml!!

  • Kirstie says:

Nicki – I emailed HN to get the price and that’s what came back, €136. PH advantage site doesn’t deliver to Ireland which is why I had to go the HN route. I did look into this!

  • Kirstie says:

    oops 15ml my typo!

  • Aphrodite says:

Wow a lot of you have used this and love it! And also have attended seminars on it! And have nothing to do with the product or where it’s sold of course?
Hard to believe – but obviously true
