As previously mentioned, I love baths. I used to think that life was too short to be wasting it lying in baths, but I had a watery ephiphany and now I think life is too long not to be spending at least some of it soaking in hot scented water. So I’m always on the look out for new and interesting bath products. I picked up a couple of sachets of Dresdner Essenz herbal bath recently, which comes in a variety of delicious sounding combinations like orange linden blossom, eucalyptus citrus, Rosemint and Juniper–Spruce.
According to their website, The Dresdner Essenz range of bath powders “has a high content of natural essential oils, vitamin E, panthenol and allantoin. The essential oils in the powders are prepared in such a way that their aromatic fragrance and effect are at their maximum in the bath. Fat-replenishing elements in the oil, together with vitamin E, panthenol and allantoin protect your skin from drying out“.
The powder does foam quite a bit when you add it to running water, so you get a nice bubble bath effect too. It’s lovely this stuff, really fragrant and nice. I had a headache before I got into a bath of it, and the eucalyptus cirtus version dealt with that smartly. Plus my flat smelt lovely for the rest of the day, an added bonus.
If bath powders aren’t your thing, they also do loads of other bath goodies – sparkling bath bombs, massage oils, shower gels and liquid bubble bath.

Sold! I am the QUEEN of baths, where do I get these bad boys?
Oh yes, I should probably have added that, doh. I got it in a Hickey’s chemist and they have branches everywhere – there’s one on grafton st. Each sachet was about €1.80 I think. A box of sachets was sitting on the counter up by the prescription area and not in full view where it more rightfully should have been, so have a root and you should find it.
