Here Comes Christmas: Giorgio Armani Art Deco Collection

We took a look at some Smashbox gift sets yesterday and now lets get down to business with the seasonal launches from some of our fave beauty brands. Exhibit A: Giorgio Armani. This is a brand who excel at luxurious, collectible cosmetics and this festive season’s offerings are no exception.

Glam lacquered finishes brighten up the normally matte packaging and a generous smattering of Swarovski crystals add a luxe embellishment that’ll have you itching to powder your nose with the Art Deco palette, €70, in public. As usual, it’s a double-decker affair with a highlighting powder above, and four shadow shades below. Colours are black, green, silver and bronze, textures are silky smooth and there’s some nice festive shimmer and sparkle.

Silk lipstick comes in two shades, 94, a 1930s-inspired Hollywood red and 94, a gold patina you can layer over it for extra impact.

Palette and red lippy are both in the pic above, but there’s more to come in the Art Deco collection, including a Gold Top Mascara, €25.50, a Gold Lip Shimmer, €24 plus Gold and Hollywood nail varnishes, €21.

So, given €100 to spend with impunity, what would you buy?

My God, this is the stuff of a beaut.ie girl’s dreams isn’t it?
The packaging is so opulent, i’d love a go of the powder and eyeshadows..

In fantasy land I’d go for the palette and the lippy, but in real life I’ll just admire the palette from a distance. I’m terrible for buying fancy things and then not using them – I just take them out from time to time to admire them

giorgio armani stuff is probably some of the most expensive of the luxury cosmetics. this all looks gorgeous and i’d be delighted if i got any of it as a present but its too expensive for me to buy for myself (and i can almost justify any cosmetic purchase)
