Since me ‘n Drew (we’re tight) are a similar age, I know she remembers Berlin’s power ballad, ‘Take my Breath Away’, which was the signature tune for 1986’s movie par schlocky excellence, Top Gun, starring King Thetan himself, Tom Cruise. This was before he lost the run of himself and turned into a boggle-eyed couch jumping loon, but those simpler times fostered tolerance in hairdressing too.
Even as a teenager I was of the firm opinion that Berlin singer Terri Nunn’s awful two-tone barnet (shown to great effect whilst balanacing on the wing of a plane wearing a jumpsuit) was Not Cool. Not Cool at all. But Drew’s chosen to channel it for appearances recently for Whip It (surely Devo inspired?) and I think Beaut.ie opinion will be divided here, much as it was with her ‘creative’ approaches to festivalling beauty.
Me? I’m less breath taken away, and more ‘wind knocked out of self by horrific crime against barnets’. Yuck Drew. Change it back.

Funny, I think the cut looks quite nice in the picture shown. Whether it will nice look nice when she pops down the shops in jeans and a tee is another question.
I too am her age, and also had no gra for the Berlin haircut at the time. It was not emulated as “the hairdo” by anyone I know nor did I ever even see it on the street.
So if she’s only wearing it like that for the night then I like it. Otherwise no no no.
dip dye aside, her hair is generally a lovely cut/colour, and she looks only fabliss i think.

Drew is fab, always liked her and the b’f looooves her! But can’t say I’m too fond of this new hairdo…I just don’t really see the point of it!
I love the hairsytle except for the black bit which I actually didn’t spot first.

I had it in red ten years ago.
Was looking at the pic for ages thinking, ‘I dunno, she looks pretty good to me’, but taht was becasue I thought she was wearing a black scarf – not dip dyed hair. Not a good look, but still I admire Drew for not going down the usual boring non-offensive look most A-listers favour.
Yeah I like Drew too but not too sure about the hair- I just want to take a scissors to the black bits
I love Drew, I think she is gorgeous and seems a little normal,her clothes are also ususally spot on. I am not getting behind this hair doo but I will forgive her it’s Drew!!
