My fave blister-squashers, Compeed Blister Plasters, are pretty fond of Beaut.ie too – last year they gave us a pair of Chanel flip flips to bestow upon one of you lucky, gals, and this year they’re going one better with a pair of shiny new Burberry Patent Plaque shoes in a size six. They’re worth a cool €250, and you check them out above, and drool.
A bit like a squirrel, and because I’m such a habitual heel wearer, I tend to get through quite a few of these little sticky fellers and I generally have a pack in any given handbag – and they’ve saved me a time or two, as well. €7.02 is the damage for six, and they are well worth it: squashy and cushioned with a special active gel, they stay put for days.
Now, hopefully you won’t need any with these swish shoes, but you never can tell – and forewarned is forearmed and all that, what? So, lets get on to business – info on how to enter is after the cut.
COMPETITION CLOSED! You can check the forums for winner info.
THE QUESTION: What part of her body did Lynnie put Compeed blister plasters on?
HOW TO ENTER: Send your answer plus your NAME and FULL POSTAL ADDRESS to competitions@beaut.ie, marking your entry ‘Compeed’
THE RULES: One entry per person; you must have an Irish postal address (north or south); there is no cash alternative and our decision is final. The competition closes on Monday 31st August 2009 and we never share your details with any third party.
PSST: Compeed’s Foot Fairies, who’ve been appearing at events up and down the country all summer long, will be making their last stop on 27th August at the Bellewstown Races, Meath (Ladies Day) giving out samples. So if you pop along, look out for ‘em.

Wow! Sounds awesome!
I got some of these from the fairies at the U2 concert!
I bought some in tesco near Leicster square in London on sat for £3.90 (bout €4.50 at the minute)! Seriously why is it sooooo expensive here!
I was charged €8.02 for them in a pharmacy in town on thurs. Was worth it though
Magic little things
They are fab shoes….and there not black!!!
Anyone who knows me knows my wardrobe is just full of black! lol
ah, fab prize!
I entered without reading the post properly, so didn’t realise those beauties were a six. Curses. I will nevertheless be delighted if I win them and will make the necessary arrangements to have a toe amputated, or similar.
I hate my big feet……. size seven or eight, depends on brand, but never six. Was trying to get new black shoes for work over the weekend….. so many shops, so many beautiful shoes…. so many funny looks from SA when I ask for my size and then apologie: we only get one pair in your size and is gone very fast or even better: we don’t get shoes in your size….. luckily I am well able make a joke about it and not being embarassed anymore but I was feeling little bit down anyway after being in so many shops. And the best is, many girls I know have the same size and have the same problem…..
Damn 8 to 9s!! Will you ever be advantagous?!
Well, admittedly it can be in the topshop sale when there’s only nines left!
My mother tells me i’ll be robbed for my shoes by a cross dresser one of these nights.
Gorgeous! I love red shoes.
Unfortunately these are bloody gorgeous but huge for my little size 2 trotters!!
Oh
I’m size 4
Pixie how do you find shoes in your size? Used to be 3 and was sent to childrens departments way too many times
Zoulikha, most of the time I don’t find my size. I either buy my shoes off the internet, order them in the shop if they are offered in a size 2 or make do with whatever vaguely adult-looking shoes I can find in the kids’department.
Love Shoes!
