So you want to turn the volume of your hair to 11 and don’t know how to go about it? Well, you’re definitely not alone – we seem to fall into two camps, us women – there are those of us with thick hair we spend fortunes on calming and getting to lie flat, and those of us who wail over our limp locks, and wish they were fuller.
Big and bouffant is in at the moment too, so this is getting urgent for those in the latter camp. How do you go about getting some height into your hair?
I think Aveda have the answer. Gorgeous luxury salon products made from gorgeous luxury good for you ingredients? Oh yes please! Their Pure Abundance Volumizing Clay Conditioner contains kaolin clay, organic acacia gum and smells sweetly of organic peppermint, ylang ylang & jasmine. MmmmMmmyum yum yum. It helps hair become smooth and manageable and it lifts up fine hair and fills it out giving you a thicker, more abundant looking mane. Sounds pretty damn good, doesn’t it? Strawberrynet are selling it for €18 with FREE postage – that’s a damn good price, considering it’s €27 on HQhair.
The other yum Aveda product I have my beady eye on is the Pure Abundance Volumizing Shampoo which would be perfect to use in conjunction with the Volumizing Clay. It’s formulated for fine hair and like the conditioner contains thickening and volumising ingredients, and will leave your hair deliciously scented. It’s €16.50 from the divine Strawberrynet.

Aveda have great hair products – they do makeup as well and intend to buy a lip gloss down the line as I believe you eat most of this so should be as natural as possible.
How do you mean you eat most of this??
When you put lipstick or lip gloss on and after an hour its gone – most of it has been swallowed.
that is soo true!!
I have a Sothys one that tastes sooo nice but god only knows whats in it!!
mmm like the sound of this anyone tried it?
Aveda hair stuff is fabulous – the scents are incredible!!! I also love their hand and foot creams… my husband will even try and use the hand cream when he thinks I’m not looking, it really works!
O my god I’ve been robbin my Mam’s Aveda hand cream for ages now! It was recommended to her by her doctor because she has dermotitis. But I had no idea they had a whole range of other products….!!
Oh WHY did you say that about the handcream?! Now I have to get some to add to my collection… I think I have a handcream fetish
the average woman eats 9 lipsticks during their life, fact fans!
Apologies Aphrodite, this totally off topic but have to mention here, that apperently the average person eats 5 spiders during their lifetime too.
Oh Jesus wait til Kirstie hears that! That’s DISGUSTING!!
Laura Mercier ‘Baby lips’ lip gloss tastes like Terry’s Chocolate Orange, I could go through 9 of them a month never mind a lifetime!!!
mmmm Elizabeth Arden Shine Pops come in chocolate too!
haha yeh, when you sleep its possible to inhale spiders that might just be strolling across your face at the time, its soo gross tho!
Purchased a new shampoo form lush called BIg. AM loving it!
I thought it was five spiders a year… in your sleep! Ugh!
Deborah – it’s that AS WELL!
Maybe its 5 spiders a year for Australians and the like:)
I’d give Aveda hair products a big thumbs up too having recently been the recipient of a box load from doting BF. They smell fab! Also got the body scrub and cream, which are lovely too.
Love Aveda Shampure and conditioner .. would like to try the Purefume if it smells anything like the purefume emolliant! I always seem to be late finding these posts! this thread is probably closed …
I even went and bought the travel size bottles of Shampure .. they’re so dinky, and it little goes a long way so they’re not really an extravagence – so I tell myself! but going back to Pump Up The Volume – has anyone else tried the Pure Abundance powder? I think it’s quite pricey it’s such a small bottle .. it’s hard enough to manage but gives fantastic volume on day-old hair, lasts a few hours .. anyone else got an opinion on this??
