Poor u Kelly xx Better now that goin along with it for the sake of it

  • Glamazon says:

Kelly – sorry to hear that, hope you are okay.

MontyC – the ETA is approximately 1800hrs on Friday. Normally visitors to our house have to get past our eager, over excited, over friendly, slobbering St Bernard…he will look like childs play compared to me salivating at the arrival of the Chrome.

  • cathyfly says:

Sorry Kelly, I missed your comment there – like the girls said, a break up is always sad no matter what the reason. Make sure you’ve lots of friends around you to provide the sympathetic ear, hugs and cuppas/bottles of wine you need! x

Hey girls, quick question. Does anyone know of a good salon in Dublin doing specials on dermalogica facials at the moment?
Skin is a bit of a mess after a few months travelling with work and I’m coming to the end of my “using things up” phase so might get a facial and invest in a few bits (online!) then, once I get some products recommended. Thanks in advance.

  • cathyfly says:

Hi Sweetie, funny enough I do, I got a text at the weekend! Anu beauty salon are doing 20% off all treatments for November – I reviewed a Dermalogica facial I had there a while ago and thought they were very good. They’re on Stephen’s St and their site is http://www.anubeauty.com

The Buff Day Spa are also doing Speciality Dermalogica facials for the price of regular ones – http://www.thebuffdayspa.com
Could do with a facial myself actually!

  • sweetie1 says:

Thanks Cathy. Actually saw taht Anu one advertised somewhere but hadn’t heard of the salon. Might check out there or buff now. :D Don’t know if I can really afford it, but might stretch to it with the discount! Thanks again!

  • MontyC says:

    Glamazon –

  • Kitty In The City says:

    Sweetie, not a great website
http://pearltreatments.ie/pearl-beauty/pearl-beauty-salon.html but I’ve had a facial here (yes, it’s a dentist too) and highly recommend it. I think at the moment it’s half price, give them a ring. It’s on Nassau St.

  • MontyC says:

Glamazon – Looking forward to your review of it

  • Emz says:

    No chance to blather today!

Glamazon – looks like you’ll have yours before me so you lucky thing! Saw it on Saturday in RL & I love it!!!

  • Glamazon says:

MontyC – I shall be wearing said palette (will try and restrain myself to only using 2 or 3 colours at once) on Saturday night at the local ;) Very excited to try the Laura Mercier primer too.

  • Glamazon says:

Emz – I must admit I am a teensy bit apprehensive as I haven’t actually seen one in the flesh so to speak. I hope the colours are the same as the pic as sometimes they are slightly different. Its almost like a blind date.

  • Gee Gee says:

Getting my bedroom painted next week and possibly getting the floor varnished. :D
Thinking off going a dark blue on the wall with a cream/white on the skirting boards and wardrobe doors… and am also going to go to Agros and get my nice photo frames for up on the wall for after its all painted :D

  • Kitty In The City says:

Nah, don’t watch X Factor either. However I did make an exception on Sat and watched the twins for about 10 mins. I am doing a media studies course, I really should know about these kind of things. Not tempted to watch it ever again.

  • sweetie1 says:

Thanks Kitty I’ll give them a buzz.
Just read your Anú post there too Cathy…sounds lovely.

  • MontyC says:

    Glamazon – Excellent!

  • Emz says:

Glamazon – didn’t have much time to spend testing them on my lamh but eye shadows looked very similar! Always find lip glosses a little faint tho? LM primer is fab, I love it!

  • MontyC says:

Emz – They are subtle but they’re great for work and I often wear them over another colour to add some shine.

  • Mandy says:

    Hi all,

I recently bought Liz Earles Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser on advice from a few people on this site. However after using it, I’ve noticed that my skin is left noticeably red and blotchy. I was wondering if anyone else who has used this product has had a similar reaction?

    Thanks!

  • Tiddles says:

    Afternoon all :)

Am I going crazy or is the link to Stockists gone from the top? Forgive me if it’s been gone for a while – i’ve not needed to look for anything for yonks.

  • Kirstie says:

tiddles – tis still there, right up the very top in the dark pink bar!

  • Emz says:

Tiddles – it is up at the very top of the page next to “About Us & Press”

Glamazon – I do that also, great for shine!

  • MaryK6 says:

    hi girls
any of ye know when the GAP and Topshow are opening in Cork. All excited….

  • MaryK6 says:

    hi girls
any of ye know when the GAP and Topshop are opening in Cork. All excited….

  • Tiddles says:

Ooh sorry! I was looking on the paler pink bar underneath the logo etc :) Whoops.

Need to get me some Aveeno.

  • Glamazon says:

Emz – I think most glosses just give a hint of colour, those ones in particular seem to be very subtle. If you want a gloss with more colour to it I’d definitely recommend the BB colour rich gloss.

GeeGee – if you are going with dark blue I would recommend you go with a very matt colour – a powdery finish rather than anything with a sheen in it. The Crown Indulgence range is fab – great matt paint with brilliant coverage.

  • legalyblonde says:

Maryk6… GAP is opening this Thursday anyway!! YAY!!!! Think Topshop is the week after, so the rumours go. plus the Fancy new boots which is going to have a Lancome Counter (eeeep!!) and a No7 Counter complete with loadsa sales assistants is opening on the 19th…

  • MontyC says:

Maryk6 – Where will they be?

  • Errol's girl says:

Hi girlies posted earlier does anyone know anywhere in Dublin where I can buy a hair piece – like a pony tail – I’m looking for something that looks real. Big tks

  • Glamazon says:

Sorry Errol’s girl – I have no idea. Have you tried hairdressers? I know my local does clip in hair pieces.

  • cailín says:

hi ladies, anyone been in ediburgh lately?and can they recommend a good central hotel for 3 ladies on a fun weekend?thanks!!

  • MaryK6 says:

    Monty
in the opera lane centre. its great isnt it!. cork finially coming on shop wise. All we need now is an Ambercrombie and Fitch…..oh and Tiffanys….a girl can dream

  • Pookie says:

Abercrombie is apparently looking at an old member’s club on St. Stephen’s Green – they try to use listed buildings with character etc… Who knows if it will actually happen though!

  • Sonia says:

For cailín: The best place you could stay is in an apartment in the heart of Grassmarket. Its called http://www.castleapartment.com prices are for the apartment for the night!! Stayed there in September…FANTASTIC!!!

  • ladyelvis says:

Cailin try Ten Hill Place hotel in Edinburgh-it’s cheap and cheeful and less than 10 minutes walk (uphill though!) It gets good reviews on tripadvisor and we liked it, although the bathrooms have glass frosted doors so you’d want to know each other well!

  • KellBell says:

    Meh – i don’t watch the x-factor either.

Not sure who was asking about the digital reader – i got the iReader last x-mas and they are really good. BUT – i’ve found that it’s limited what books you can download onto it. Most of the books i like aren’t available as downloads as yet :(

    Might have changed though?

  • prudence says:

Lisa, I’ve just discovered that I left you a comment about varicose veins under the Nail NUTS post! Don’t ask – I’m just back from the sun and I think the sad change in temperature is affecting me!

  • Gee Gee says:

Glamazon – thanks very much for that… Gonna go looking tomorrow at colours. Was thinking something very matt myself already, I just wouldnt be a fan of a gloss colour in the bedroom.

  • Gee Gee says:

Kellbell – that was me, thanks so much for that… jewellery may be my xmas present so :D
