Who told you about the birds and the bees? Sex education and you

I can't remember how I first found out about the murky world of adult goings on - but I'm pretty sure I was DISGUSTED by the descriptions.

"The man does WHAT to the lady?!  BARF."

It was all playground stuff, caught in little snippets, whispered conversations and it was all quite frankly unbelievable to my primary school self .  I know there was a book offered to me at home, which I flung down and refused to read, muttering "I know it all already" as I fled the room with a face the colour of Reggae Reggae sauce.

Then there was school.  Lots and lots of sex education in school.  Diagrams of fallopian tubes and huge pictures of eggs being bombarded by a thousand sneaky sperms.  It was all very clinical and quite frankly the overload of medical information was enought to put you off the act itself.  Which maybe was the point up in the convent come to think of it.

And in every class I was unable to summon up any maturity whatsoever.  I laughed and childishly snickered my way through it all - and  truth be told I'm still the same now.  No maturity whatsoever.

What about you?  What was the first time you heard about the beast with the two backs?
