I had a goo at a L'Oreal ColorAppeal Platinum eyeshadow at lunchtime and I was v surprised at, well, how nice it was. I generally don't use L'Oreal Paris as a makeup brand, but I am going to purchase the silver coloured shadow in their Platinum range because - oh boy, is it silver. I mean really, really silver. Not just wishy washy, kinda sorta but honest to goodness metallic - like silver leaf. It's a flat metallic as opposed to being sparkly, and it's very nice. It'd be perfect for dark, dramatic eyes. I was too excited to check the price, but I can't imagine it being more than a tenner
