Rub a Dub: L'Oreal Paris Launch Perfect Clean and The Scrublet

Aww, I thought, when the packet arrived bearing L'Oreal Paris' new Perfect Clean foaming cream wash. Cleanser's not normally known to trigger my 'squee' response but the reason this did was because of the scrublet - hold yer horses and I'll explain in a sec. I've seen this product on US blogs and wondered how long it'd take to filter over to us, and now that it has, here's the gen.

Perfect Clean is a line of three cleansers - above you can see foaming cream wash and there's also a foaming gel wash and foaming gentle scrub. They're all decently-priced at €7.49, but what makes them stand out is the included, aforementioned scrublet.

It's a flexible doofer that sits into the body of the product, ready to be popped out when you want to do a bit of cleansin'. Squeeze a dollop of product onto it and get to work: soft, rubbery and cute, this aids the cleansing process thanks to lots of teeny rubbery tines that softly massage the cleanser into the face, loosening guck and stimulating blood flow.

While I think the target market for the cleansers themselves is a little younger than me, I do love the idea of the scrublet, a concept very definitely lifted from Japanese skincare. Aromatherapy brand Eve Taylor sells something very similar for a higher price too. My plan? I'll give the cleanser a whirl to see what's what, but the scrublet is going to come and live on my bathroom sink - I think we're going to become firm friends.

So, even if the Perfect Clean cleansers don't suit your skin, for the price, it's kinda worth the scrublet all on its own, eh?
