Printed Dresses: From Floral To Animal, We’ve Got This Key Spring Trend Covered

By Beautie | January 31 2014 | 12 Comments

It’s the last day of January and though nobody told Mama Nature, springtime is supposedly on its way.

One of the biggest trends for this season is the printed dress. I really love this piece because it’s beautifully feminine and is actually quite versatile. Layer it over a thin knit or under a slim-fit cardigan until it warms up (because it will warm up, it WILL) and wear under a tuxedo jacket or blazer for evening time shenanigans.

There are lots of versions to choose from – floral, girly, tribal and oriental, monochrome and animal. And we’ve picked our favourites for you to try on in our virtual changing rooms.

I like all of the tribal/oriental ones, will be checking out RI!! and the leopard print ones. To be honest I am waiting for the day somebody designs a guna with a bell print, so I can literally say “I’ll be there with bells on”.

Ha ha Nomes, I like the sound of that, if there are any designers out there reading this thread!

I am obsessed with leopardprint, probably beyond obsessed. My sister just bought me a bloody amazing D&G leopard case for my phone. Saying that, I think a whole outfit of leopard can look a bit much. Love the tribal ones, very cute.

I LOVE the middle RI one in the girly section!! Pity I’ve no event type thingy coming up!

  • Kittykat says:

Oh I love the monochrome black and white one from Gallery at Dunnes. I want want want.
Littlesis, snap. I love leopard too. I have a few leopard and animal print dresses at home that will be coming out to play very soon. I paricularly love my RI silk leopard knee length dress with pockets. V. cute. Roll on Springtime.

Off to dunnes with me to try on the floral one!

They all look lovely but I felt so old when I looked at the French Connection Sahara wave dress – looks more like a top than a dress. I’d get an awful chill in my kidneys!

The Dunnes monochrome one looks lovely! I must go try that one on at the weekend. I’m already thinking of what shoes and accessories I should wear with it.
