Finding the right foundation match for very fair skin is a problem we’ve been putting up with for ever. We hear from so many of you about the troubles you have and we’ve oft bemoaned the fact that more brands don’t cater to the very common Irish skintone we like to call milk-bottle-white.
Huzzah! Behold Studio Fix Foundation in Shade NW13!
Well, it looks like MAC have not only been listening, but have answered our prayers! They’ve been quietly busy extending their Studio range to offer more choice in the Studio Fix foundation line. Suitable for all skin types, this formula is super popular with so many of you and for good reason: it’s longlasting, offers great coverage and layers nicely for different effects.
NW15: previously the palest shade in the Studio Fix line
Previously the palest shade we could get our mitts on was NW15 – that’s it above – but they’ve now rolled out NW13 and even NW10, which I’ve yet to clap eyes on. A little birdie told us that these shades were formulated specifically for the Irish market. Now doesn’t that give you the warm and fuzzies? Thanks for making us feel so special, MACsters! NW13 is actually way too pale for me – hence why you’re just seeing it on my hands, and not on my mug – which means, hooray! It should be just about perfect for all you alabaster beauties.
Swatches of NW13
Other new shades include C5.5, C5, C4.5 and C3.5 in Studio Fix liquid foundation and the following shades in Studio Fix Powder Plus foundation: NW10, NW13, NW18, NW22, NW33, NW44, NW46, NW48, NW58, C5.5, C5, C4.5 and C3.5. Both types are priced at €31.50 and are on counter now.
What do you think, excited much? And will you be giving any of the new shades a whirl?
