L'Oreal Lumi Magique Line: Review and Pictures

L'Oreal Lumi Magique line

I'm really rather impressed with L'Oreal's Lumi Magique line of radiance boosting lotions and potions - and that's coming from a gal who's not a fan of the dewy look.

Last week we talked about the Nude Magique BB cream so let's have a look at the other three products in the range. For testing purposes I've worn this trio together for the past week or so and it's working out nicely.

L'oreal Lumi Magique primer

Fans of illuminating primers will love this Lumi Magique Light Concentrated Primer. It does the same job as the likes of Le Blanc de Chanel, MACStrobe Cream or Clarins' Instant Light Complexion Perfector, and at €15.11 it's kinder on the pocket, too. This type of primer won't make your foundation last any longer - a sheer instant glow is what you'll get, and a nice base for applying the rest of your makeup.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation

Which brings me to the Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation - at €16.49, this is probably the best mid-priced foundation I've tried. Shine-free luminosity is what L'Oreal are promising, and I think they've nailed it.  Shade selection's not great at six shades - I have #4, Pure Beige, which is a tiny bit too warm for me - but the coverage is nice. I'd describe it as medium, and it stays put evenly throughout the day.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Pen

I like this a lot, too. The Lumi Magique Touch of Light Highlighting Pen is €12.99, comes in three shades and  looks oh-so-pretty in its rose gold packaging. It's a budget version of  (L'Oreal owned) YSL's Touche Eclat so there could be some technology sharing going on, 'cos this is definitely one of the better copies on the market.

Together the products impart quite a fresh, youthful glow and I'm told I look deceptively rested, despite a hectic week of burning the candle at both ends and very little sleep.
