Essence Nail Fruits on rainbow nails review: pics and polishes used

My love for nail art far outweighs my ability to execute any design other than a few dots, so you can imagine how my heart went a flutterin' when I was saw these pre-made instant manicure-enhancers by Essence. They're flexible little fruit shapes that you glue down over your polish - not a new concept but not previously widely available in Irish shops either.

WHY do my fingers look webbed? I can't even swim!

I painted my nails with lots of different polishes that I'm currently loving, just for shiggles.

From the thumb on the left hand, we have Sally Hansen Back to the Fushia, Barry M Mint Green, Rimmel Blue Eyed Girl, Bourjois Sparkling Rose Pink and Barry M Tangerine.

The right hand is, from the thumb down, Catrice Bye Bye Birdy, 17 Night Shade, Catrice Fred Said Red, L'oreal 202 and Avon Coral Reef.

Back to the Fushia, 202 and Sparkling Rose Pink all have really firm brushes, you'd have to be doing your nails with your eyes closed to feck up application. My pick of the pack is the Sally Hansen offering - it goes on like a dream and doesn't even know what chipping is.

Sticking on the fruits was foolproof. I blobbed the glue on and then pressed them down, making sure to curve the edges so that the hugged my nail. Once applied, they felt secure and I went about my business with no fear of flying fruit.

At only €2.49, these are a great way to add something different to your manicure without breaking the bank. Though I got a bit carried away during my initial application, I think these would be super cute on one accent nail.

Will you be giving 'em a go?
