Any recommendations for a spray tan in cork city? Have a ball on Friday and need to get booking. Hair/makeup recommendations also welcome!

    Morning all!

Morning all, had a lovely weekend with himself. He apologised on Friday and I suggested that we forget about it for a while. I know it’s not the best idea but I just can’t deal with fighting right now. We ended up having a lovely weekend, spent Saturday watching movies in the leaba and yest we went for a big walk around London – we saw Hugh Bonneville, Patrick Stewart and some others at the unveiling of a memorial to Agtha Christie! lol! Then we wandered through the German Christmas market before going for dinner & drinks.. and a game of chess in our local ;) It was really lovely so I feel much better than last week anyway!!

Hope everyone else had a good weekend!

  • Shygirl says:

Aww Orla, that sounds really nice. Glad you had a good weekend. Sometimes you just have to let go of things.

  • Aifs says:

Huge congratulations Scarie! That’s such exciting news! :) Being an aunty is brilliant. Had lots of cuddles from my 3 nephews over the weekend as the middle dude turned 3.

  • Beth TV says:

Morning all from my nice dry desk. That was yukky rain last niggh, wasn’t it? I was driving home from the north last night in it and the windy and hilly roads weren’t at all pleasant in the lashes. I was extra thankful for my nice big solid car when I saw lost of wee cars swaying in the gust :)

    Scarie, that’s brilliant news ;D

    Orla, yay ;)

God I didn’t sleep last night. My eyes are so red and puffy today. Don’t know what I look like.

  • mummypupper says:

O my God,I can only apologise to all the blatherinas who have ever posted about being unable to sleep,I hold my hands up,I only ever scanned the comments then moved onto the next poster. You see,I had never felt your pain, but now, having tossed and turned all night long and finally closing my eyes at….wait for it….6.30 this morning I feel that I have had a baptism of fire into the world of insomnia. At one stage I feared that I would have to get the children up for school having had absolutely no sleep at all so an hour of shuteye was better than that.I feel like a zombie, cement would not cover the black rings around my eyes.Couple that with an overwhelming desire to burst into tears I feel it could be a long day!
    Happy monday everyone…..gggggggrrrrr

  • Shygirl says:

Yea, I think that we are all the same today, it took me a while to get to sleep last night too. Kept hearing noises. Have a headache from tiredness today. Onwards and upwards! I really did not want to be a moaner this week!

  • Orla says:

*hugs* mummypupper, 6.30? You poor thing! It’s awful not being able to sleep.. I hope you get a chance to sit down for a bit today after a night of no sleep :( x

Morning ladies! Was in Harrods over the weekend, and was speaking to Michelle Heaton. She was so lovely and was saying that she is having a Mastectomy this week. Dunno if any of you saw her on the Late Late recently. It would seriously make you appreciate everything and puts it all in perspective!

  • Shygirl says:

I didn’t see it Annmarie, does she have breast cancer?

  • thefrog says:

    Hello there.
Back from family weekend and straight into work. Hate coming back on Monday morning (as opposed to Sunday night, my usual ‘back from home’ time), because everything I dislike about the place where I work (and therefore live 70% of my life) seem more pronounced in the Monday morning like. Sigh.
Family weekend was good. I’m a bit baffled by my cousin. She’s 18, pretty as an angel and she behaves and dresses like a tiny little mouse. She doesn’t talk, hardly said a thank you for the gifts, and she looked at the Naked 2 box wondering why had I bought it. She seemed to like the gloss that goes with it. At least. Just shows how different the two of us are. The 10-year age difference probably does not help.
But it was nice to see everybody for a day.
And now getting ready for work!

    Have a nice afternoon

  • AnneMarie says:

@shygirl she has the BRCA2 gene. Apparently it means that she has up to 80% chance of developing breast ans ovarian cancer. (apologies if the figures are wrong, but i think thats what it is) Think various members of her family had cancer, and she got tested, and she too has the gene. She hopes to have another child and then have a hysterectomy too. Felt so sorry for her!
