Poll: Who Creates Your Favourite Beauty Visuals?

One of my favourite things about new season collections are the model shots that go along with them; where the brand’s makeup artists let loose and show you what can be achieved with all those new colours and textures. Ok, you may not have a snowballs chance in hell of getting the same effect, but hey, a girl can dream, eh?

But who creates the nicest ones? Lets put it to the vote!

Its nice and interesting to see that us girls are leaning more toward the natural looks this season :D

  • ceci says:

Loved the Bourjois one you posted last week so I voted for that.

  • cornflakegirl says:

Really lusting after the Bourjois look this S/S. It’s just so feminine and pretty, I want.

The Clarins, Chanel, Dior and Estee Lauder looks are gorge too.

  • I love how adventurous the Mac look is but it does look a bit like a backing dancer from Cats. But the Bourjois look is so fresh! so that got my vote

  • sevda says:

Out of the pics there it would have to be Chanel, NARS and MAC. The EL look isn’t in keeping with the brand IMO. I also like Dior and Bourjopis.

I really don’t like the lancome at all.

  • Jeannie says:

Of the looks featured, Bourjois is the prettiest and Dior the most stylish in my eyes. Clarins… how to turn a gorgeous girl into a skanger-wannabe with a hard line of black eyeliner on the lower lash line…

  • Jeannie says:

I agree with Sevda that that particular Estee Lauder look is not what I would expect from that brand’s image.

  • Aifs says:

I agree with Jeannie and Sevda – I voted for EL based on Bronze Goddess and other advertising images which make me lust after every product, not the one above.

  • Jeannie says:

Just thinking of the recent ad campaigns from these brands; I thought Julia Roberts was so heavily and cynically airbrushed in the Lancome ads that it really turned me off the brand.

  • Aisling Aphrodite says:

Love the Nars, but not surprised that the Bourjois is winning – their pics are always lovely

  • Queeves says:

Armani is my fave by far!

  • Fee says:

In general Chanel, MAC and Bobbi Brown would be my faves but from the selection there I had to go for Nars, I have been in love with that shot ever since I first saw it. I love everything Daphne Guinness but that photo is particularly amaaaaaazeballs

  • PinkPanther says:

I always like Dior shots but based on teh pics above it has to be Nars. Incredible, though I’ve a feeling it won’t look like this when i try and recreate!

  • lainey316 says:

In general I love the Shiseido images but also a big fan of Nars and the artistry of MAC. I voted based on my general opinion of their imagery across various collections – some comments suggest the voting is on the images above specifically? That said I’d still have gone for NARS :)

  • Fee says:

lainey316 I got a bit confused about that too and voted based on the shots above even though I kind of thought that’s not what we were being asked? Anyway that NARS shot may be my favourite promo shot of all time so my vote still stands :)

  • Kirstie says:

don’t worry girls, it’s just for a bit of fun so decide whatever way you’d like!

  • MiamiMortimer says:

As far as beauty goes, I think Bourjois are great…but for fashion shots, D&G can’t be beaten – wowza.

  • MiamiMortimer says:

I wasn’t expecting so many people to be fans of the Nars shot above, to me it’s way too airbrushed and doesn’t show off the makeup used for the face at all – I like to see how the highlighter/contour is used! In that shot you can barely see her nose, it’s that airbrushed! Her face just looks blank! :(

  • Sarah says:

Bourjois just stands out as pretty and not overstated for me. Can’t really see myself going to work with the mac look :D Like the colour though

  • littlesis says:

Chanel for me. Always chic :)
