There’s a lot of truth in that old saying that we only wear 10% of our wardrobe day in day out.
Trinny and Suzanna would have a field day with my wardrobe. It’s full of stuff that I might fit into again “one day” and other garments that cost too much to throw out without guilt but I never wear, and yet more stuff that needs to be mended or altered.
And unfortunately it seems as though my makeup and skincare hoard suffer from the same fate. I reckon the ten per cent rule applies here too most definitely. I tend to use the same old things day in day out – because they work and I love them.
The things that come off the worst are facemasks (they can languish in the bathroom cabinet for years having been used only the once), body lotions, tan, eyeshadows that don’t suit and lipsticks (cos once you’ve tried them you can’t really pass anyone else can you).
What about you? Have you piles of products you don’t use too? Make me feel a it better about my hoarding!
