I saw a few of yiz Blathering yesterday about brush storage and so I thought I’d chip in with one of the storage ‘solutions’ I have for some of my own brushes.
It’s this piece of steely goodness, the Ikea Ordning cutlery stand. At €3.29, clearly it’s going to be a massive budgetary stretch (not) and I reckoned it’d be a good pick to keep all my brushes neat and tidy. Ok, technically it’s designed for the kitchen and for knives and forks but because it’s quite big and made from stainless steel it works well for brushes and for use in the bathroom.
And look! I can fit this little lot into it! I keep all my powder, foundation and blusher brushes in my Ordning, and there’s a specific reason for that …
Because it’s got holes in the base, thinner brushes fall through them, so it’s not really suitable for storing them. Ok, sure, you can put something in the base to block the holes but I just decided to use this for my chunkier handled tools and that took care of the problem all on its own.
So, for just a few euro, this is a really decent bet for brush storage. Anyone else using one of these?
