Confession Time: Not Feeling The Trend for Green Nails

If you haven’t clocked the trend for pistachio nails yet, you soon will. Normally reserved for La Feile Padraig, I’m not so bothered about darker shades – OPI and Nails Inc do some ok ones, but they’ll never really float my boat.

Pale green, though, is making heavy inroads with fashionistas (oh how I haaaaaaate that word!) and we’ll be seeing a lot more of come the autumn, thanks in part to Chanel, who sent models down the runway sporting minty talons a couple of months back.

MAC gave us Peppermint Patty as part of Sugarsweet, and Barry M are also on my radar for this hideous fad. Their Mint Green polish is being drooled over across the internet and I just cannot understand it. Normally a fan of icecream shades, this one is watery and insipid and one coat on my nails confirmed my distaste for it – streaky, blurgh and unflattering.

In fact, about the only way I’d ever wear this would be in a Dior-homage, on a black or dark-choc base with a mint French-style tip.

In summary, ladies: green nails? Nein, danke for me, anyway. For you – oh lets have an auld poll:
