As surely as the seasons roll around, we see the same old "trends" in makeup trotted out again and again.Because, let's face it there's only a certain amount of colours visible to the human eye. Now if we were butterflies we'd have more possibilities (them being able to see more shades than us and all). But I digress.
And of those colours only a few are actually NICE and suit people as lipstick shades.
They are limited to all the various hardly-different-from-one-another reds/burgandies through browns/bronze with a bit of pink thrown in for good measure.
And that's it.

No blacks or purples or blues. Unless you like looking like you're one of the undead or hang around the Central Bank at the weekends.
So when I hear once again that black lipstick is back for Autumn I think - give us a break.
