Beaut.ie Gripe: Why oh Why does Conditioner Come in the Same-sized Bottles as Shampoo?

argh

It's one of the eternal questions I need answers to.  I'm as puzzled by the fact that shampoo and conditioner come in the same-sized bottles as I am about the offside rule, the big bang theory and how Pat Kenny is allowed to lasciviously drool over women half his age, without there being a national outcry.

It's mad. I rarely condition my hair with each wash, and I've yet to meet a woman who is so organised and precise that she can use her products at the same rate either. If you follow salon rules and wash twice, it's just a given you'll never be able to use both bottles together. It drives me mad! I can't count the half-used  bottles of conditioner I've thrown in the bin, and the waste makes me seethe.

One solution to the problem is to buy larger shampoo sizes and stick with a smaller conditioner - Aveda are a brand who are great for this, as are some supermarket ranges like Head and Shoulders. Redken are also making small inroads into the problem - their shampoos are 50ml larger than the matching conditioners, which does help a bit, but it doesn't solve the problem totally.
