A Guilt-Free Way to Body Moisturise

I dunno about you, but something - parsimony, maybe - stops me from lathering on body lotion. I just feel it's totally extravagant sometimes to slap on such a huge dollop of something exceedingly expensive, purely so my arse can be silky smooth. We've talked about it before on the blog, and the general consensus is that for body, cheap as chips is the way to go.

In these ever-increasingly budget-conscious times, that's more and more important to a lot of us too.  So whether they were inspired by the credit-crunch or not, Johnson's 24 Hour Moisture range is pretty timely. There are 3 products in the line, 2 lotions (as seen above, including one for very dry skin), and one cream with shea butter, which comes in a tub. This is the one I like the most. Thick, but very light, it's really easily absorbed.  Dunno about the 24 hour claim, but a few nights of slathering it on before bed has given me lovely smooth skin.  And it's a total bargain for a 200ml tub - spend €5.24 at de supermarket and try it for yourself. The lotions are even cheaper - €3.89 each. I think bedtime is a perfect time for body lotion or cream, especially if you wear cotton jammies - they have the same effect as the gloves and socks we use to keep hands and feet smooth.

Downside? There really isn't one. I'm not hugely gone on the scent, but it's by no means unpleasant - a talc-y floral fragrance.
