We are used to flood/gale/storm warnings. You know those familiar little red exclamation marks that Met Eireann stick randomly all over the map of Ireland that shout 'DANGER, there will be a whole plethora of mist and fog patches around this fair isle. Careful now'.
But last night there was a heat warning. People all over the country put down their cups of tea and stared at the screen in disbelief. Could it be that we, as a nation, will have to bare our legs and tummies to the masses? We only had to worry about such events when we were heading away to foreign climes on our holidays but be careful what you wish for because this time the sun has followed us home.
And Dan Joe from Carlingford has written to us asking 'Does this change in weather mean that I will now have to be bikini ready all the time?'
