Four summer work dresses that you'll definitely be able to wear more than once this summer (fingers crossed)
According to my phone, it's going to reach 27 degrees in some corners of Ireland tomorrow. This would be great news if we were on holidays or worked from home or didn't use up all of our sick days. It's shit news because we're faced with another eight hours in an un-air-conditioned office, and it's going to rain at the weekend.
I am going to an after-work event tomorrow and have nothing in my wardrobe that can transition from desk to drinks. Nothing that won't turn me into a human hot sausage on the barbie, that is. Come to think of it; I've nothing heatwave-friendly to wear to work at all, unless my flip-flops, short-shorts and bikini top count? (They most certainly don't).
There's nothing for it, ladies. Shopping must be done. Summer work dresses must be bought. It's all justifiable, though. This isn't the last good day of the year, so everything you buy will be worn again. It's also sale time, so everything you buy will be good 'n' cheap. Grab an iced coffee, and your wallet, this is your lunch break.
