If you're going out tonight but you've nothing to wear (or can't face the thought of heels), wear runners. But wear them like this.
Bella Hadid is our inspiration for a comfortable but very cool New Year's Eve outfit. She was pictured at a Dior event wearing a Dior turtleneck/jumper/dress hybrid which we're pretty on the fence about tbh. It's the look from the dress down that we're interested in. Black sheer tights, socks and sneakers.
Surprisingly, she isn't wearing her signature dad runners, but we can totally see her wearing those Balenciaga 'beauties' with this sort of outfit. It's such a simple formula, and it's so casual, but it looks somehow dressed up. I put it down to the retro touches, once mainstream, now 'fashion'.
It's the tights and socks thing that does it, which is great news because it means our legs and feet will actually be warm on New Year's Eve for once. You don't necessarily have to pair the bottom half of the outfit with a sweater dress; we might switch to a bodycon mini - depending on the type of party we're going to.
