Rachel McAdams is one of those women who other women love. Despite her big break coming from playing ultimate queen bee Regina George in Mean Girls, she hasn't been typecast as the pretty blonde. Rather, she has established herself as a great, versatile actress and one with cool personal style.
These days we've been following her in season two of True Detective where she is generally seen in well cut jeans and a fitted shirt and her True Detective haircut has been tempting us to chop our hair off and go back to balayage.
She has also been promoting a new movie with Jake Gyllenhaal, Southpaw, and the pair turned up at the EPSY Awards together last night. Jake looks his usual handsome self but we know which suit we prefer.
Tuxedos on women are fabulous, just ask Bianca Jagger, Diane Keaton and Angelina Jolie. Even though they are traditionally men's attire, women who wear them generally steal the show, as demonstrated by Rachel (as long as they are very well tailored. An ill fitting suit does nothing for anyone.) We love that she has chosen a red suit over boring black or potentially tacky white - and it's totally suitable for the occasion.

Judging from her minimal makeup, Rachel is letting the suit do the talking. That said, we love her flipped over short hair and straight brows. There is an air of masculinity over the whole look but it's not manly, it's sexy.
In general, women gravitate towards gowns for formal occasions but that doesn't have to be the way. Apart from the fact that there is nothing underneath that jacket, which not a lot of women would want to risk, Rachel looks smoldering but comfy and she definitely gets our Best Dressed at the ESPYs vote.
