You must have a load of 'what the eff will I wear' days when you have to attend a load of engagements to attend. Engagements where you'll be photographed and those photos will be published across the globe. Do you stop caring? Or do you create a work wardrobe, like Kate Middleton seems to have, with sensible skirt lengths and nice coats and shoes with a heel she can walk in.
Meghan Markle knows her appearance is going to make the news today. But that doesn't stop her from wearing what she wants - black - or wearing her hair the way she likes - scraped back. It's not like she's slumming it. Today's coat is by Stella McCartney, her boots are Tabitha Simmons, and her bag is from DeMellier London.

I, for one, am glad she's not turning up without a hair out of place, and dressing like a normal person (albeit a fairly wealthy one) when it comes to public engagements. Maybe she's trying to prove she's just a regular gal like you and me? Or maybe that's her jam and she ain't fixing it for nobody. What's for sure is that the international press will comment on her hairstyle because it's not Kate Middleton perfect.
Whatever. You can copy this look without even trying; at the end of the day, it's a good look. And three cheers for low-key hairdos for high profile affairs.
