I'm a bit over the sales at this stage, but that doesn't mean I don't fancy a bargain or two. Listening to the wind howl outside wouldn't make you want to venture to the shops today, but if you have those left over Christmas vouchers which didn't get annihilated in the January sales, then you might like the look we have for you today!
We might still be awaiting most of the new season stock but it is creeping in slowly, and you'll see a change in shop floors from about next week. The sales racks are getting smaller, and Spring Summer will start to dominate.
Fearne loves her oversize long knits!Comfort is key right now. The diet of Ferrero Rocher has led to a slight muffin top on my abdomen and so clingy things are very much out until I sort that out. I'm really loving the tunic dress right now, and with a pair of opaque black tights and boots, it's chic and flattering on the muffins.

Cardi, €35 and Dress, €45 both from River IslandRiver Island have a great selection right now; this monochrome dress sits nicely on the hips without being too tight (I think going up a size makes it sit better) and it's not too short. Try this with ankle or shoe boots from your Winter wardrobe.
If you want to add an extra layer that's not a big boat, a long cardi is perfect and a great investment for over skinny jeans or your work outfit either! The one I've chosen above just skims the backs of your knees so there's nice length to it (I like cardis that cover my bum). But the netting detail along the shoulder and collar bone, just make it more interesting and save on accessories too!
