Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing many of Ireland's most recognisable fashion faces. Holly Carpenter, Brendan Courtney, Nicola Hughes, Suzanne Jackson, Vogue Williams, Leanne Woodfull, Glenda Gilson and more, I got my hands on them all. What trends are they currently loving? Where are they shopping? What are their favourite fashion brands?
But another question I also asked was where they are finding their fashion inspiration. If you were to ask this question ten years ago to a group of fashion lovers, the answer would be a mix of glossy magazines; Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar. Today, only half of these interviewees mentioned print media; however, all described how they rummage for fashion inspiration online. I was given blog names, fashion and beauty websites and, most frequently, Instagram accounts.
When I find myself looking for outfit ideas, I know the exact Instagram accounts I go to first. For me, I have successfully socially stalked my way into finding the Parisian Fashion Industry elite on Instagram. These French Fashion Gays have job titles like 'Head of PR for Céline', 'Head of Menswear for Lanvin', and believe me when I say their outfits are worthy of these coveted career titles. However, this is neither here or there; it is women's fashion we are focusing on today.
Direct from the lips of Ireland's top stylists, models and bloggers, here is the list of fashion Instagram accounts you have been waiting for. Of course, many of my own faves have also made the list, and as a side note, I am leaving obvious Instagram accounts like Balmain, Kylie Jenner, Vogue and Chanel off this list. This article is aimed at providing you with some fashion eye-candy you may not have been exposed to before.
