It's the perfect time to invest in your winter coat I tell you!
October has proven to be a little chilly thus far, and I have decided to take out all my coats from last season for their annual performance appraisal. Out of the six I own, only one is being kept on thanks to it's dedication to keeping me warm since 2012. I do reward loyalty.
So, I'm in the market for a new one. Research has shown that there's great value for money under €100, and so I thought I'd share my top three picks on the high street right now!
- Budget

The Penneys pink coat lives on from Autumn Winter 2013, and this oversize style is back in a new shape with a longer, but tapered length. It's soft to the touch and will look rather chic over a suit on your way to work. The shade is understated, and will keep you going well into Spring. And the best part? It's €30. You're welcome.
- Mid-Range
That Max Mara style coat has long been a favourite of mine, but, sadly, my wallet does not agree. Dunnes Stores have come to the rescue with this full length taupe coat for just €65. It has a feminine shape to it, and is subtly fitted to give shape. Taupe and neutral colours are a prudent investment as they match pretty much everything in your wardrobe. If you want to wear this over chunky knits or a blazer, try a size up for some extra room.
- Top of the Puffas
The puffa jacket has taken over the streets of our country, and honestly, this one might be my star buy. It will save you an umbrella thanks to a handy hood! What I love about this puffa is the shape, it's not bulky or too long. So rainy days, let's be havin' ya!
