I am just so excited. In my world, I have moved onto the next season, and the plotting and planning of all the amazing fashion I am going to bring you has commenced. There are some faultless trends to come from our favourite shops, and Beaut HQ is buzzing with all this fashion fabulousness.
I’ve always preferred Autumn Winter to Summer, as I find I can dress in a way that's elegant. Now don’t get me wrong, I adore summer fashion, but there is something about knee high boots, full length coats and faux fur stoles that does it for me. To help you get to know the trends, I’m going to introduce you to the three that you can start to learn about right now. And then, we’ll have piles of advice to give you over the next, and super stylish season.
- Burgundy
Here is but a glimpse of the seventies inspired colour palette that is going to be mega. It’s very much about wine - merlot especially. This works so well in light fabrics like chiffon and you will pay tribute to the trend in a tea dress with opaque tights and a nice pair of loafers or boots. Watch out for pieces from Penneys, New Look, Reiss, Zara and LK Bennett to give you some inspiration. And on the catwalk, feel free to google the Autumn Winter collection from Gucci and check out how they styled theirs. (If you do wanna splash the cash, Brown Thomas will be stocking this collection over the next few months. I’ve seen it and it’s jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Just save the pennies)
- Suited and Booted

Ah yes tailoring does return. Victoria Beckham has done an incredible job on her tailoring this year, and I can safely say it will be fairly easy to get the look. If you need a suit for the office, Marks & Spencer is worth the investment thanks to their incredible quality and fit. These are the kind of suits that will last you years without ever going out of fashion. If smart casual is your dress code, then ASOS and French Connection, as well as Zara will have skirts, dresses and jackets to meet your needs.
- Coats, glorious coats
Oh how much I love them. At the Brown Thomas Autumn Winter show this week, the coat was a firm feature. It’s about embracing a new shape though that’s a bit oversize and that’s not always going to work on every body shape. If you prefer the fitted variety, then River Island will have the best selection, as well as Warehouse.
So have you spotted a forthcoming trend you like? Or is there a trend you want us to review and give you the best bits? G'wan, tell us.
