Get the 90s look for less!
It's been all about the decades this season with the seventies and nineties revival, but stepping back in time with fashion can be tricky with the danger of looking like a cast member from Neighbours, Baywatch or my particular favourite, Saved By The Bell.
If you want to give the nineties look a go, I've chosen pieces that are practical and wearable without looking like your ten year old self in primary school.
ASOS
There might be an abundance of crop tops, but why not compromise with the tied t-shirt? We love this "cherry" tee from ASOS that almost hits on the seventies trend too if you wear it with denim flares. Pop on some boyfriend jeans to take it to the '90s. (Available from a selection at ASOS.com)
Penneys
The style jury is still out on the practicality of dungarees, with the whole bathroom bit being a bit annoying, but nearly every high street shop has a pair this season in classic blue or faded black. Try the trend from Penneys for just €21.
River Island
We can't talk about the '90s without mentioning oversize t-shirts in bright colours. Wide sleeved, round neck tees were all we wore to PE at school, and now you can revisit those days with this nice tee, with lace detail from River Island (€25, online only).
New Look
We've talked about the bomber jacket before and it is a quintessential part of this look for Spring Summer. When the weather gets warmer, style over denim cut offs to get the look from New Look! (Jacket, €29.99; Shorts, €22.99)
Topshop
The tracksuit trend is everywhere right now, and you can style it up so it looks like you are not on your way to the gym. Jogger bottoms are a big hit at Topshop right now and if you style them with slip on runners, you will look trendy without looking like a cast member of Saved by the Bell. All the above currently in store at Topshop.
