Fashion Week closed this week, but only one of our favourite looks came from the FROW. (Although one of our top beauty looks also came from a Fashion Week event; 'twas Kendall and her annoyingly effortless hair and red lip combo.)
I'm aware that the first one is a tad controversial: it's a sparkly dress over a high-necked blouse, with bruised legs and ankle boots. We like it because it's a sparkly dress over a high-necked blouse, with bruised legs and ankle boots. "Why freeze myself when I can start a trend?", said Zosia Mamet, probably.
Style experts all over the place have told us that the new way to wear '90s style slip dresses is over a polo neck, and this is more of the same really. But this is better.
Another possible taste divider, Laura Whitmore's ensemble looks like it could have been bought at the Next workwear department and then fashioned up with oversizing, belting, cropping and high shoe-ing. God, we hope that's what she did.

A classic example of when trends win you over, we hated them at first but now cropped flared trousers have joined our spring wardrobe list. However the ones we're after are the Carine Roitfeld type cropped flared trews, with a nice subtle kick, not a bell-bottom that stops mid-calf. Because just no.
