Glory Be to the Style Gods, for they have answered our prayers. The style icon that is Alexa Chung has just announced that she's launching her own line, Alexachung, and it will be up and running by May 2017. That's less than a year away!
But will it be all Peter Pan collars, blouses, short skirts and trenches? Well, maybe. Why mess with a good thing? The reason why Alexa has become a style icon is that people like her style, a style that included Peter Pan collars, blouses, short skirts and trench coats. We'd also throw some dungarees into the mix.
We saw Alexa take her first steps towards fashion design with her Archive collection for Marks and Spencer, of which every piece was something she would actually wear herself.
As well as being a regular contributor for Vogue, the bonafide style icon has been deep inside the business side of fashion for some time now, collaborating on hugely successful lines with AG Jeans and Madewell. Now, she and her six staff members will work on casual wear, night wear, jeans, jewellery and shoes. Oh, my.
