Stately, composed, striking - is it any wonder Dame Helen Mirren regularly plays queens and rulers? Although we might know Mirren from her later work in the likes of The Queen, Calendar Girls, and so on, her earlier work is just as engaging. Films like The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover or Excalibur show that Mirren's incredible talent was always there for all to see.
2. JULIE ANDREWS
She was over our way recently for the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival and if you were lucky enough to attend her Q&A, you'll know that she's as bright and sharp as ever. Beginning her career in musicals such as The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins, Andrews would go on to have a career that lasted over SIXTY years and make her a household name.
