All those candles your mammy lit in the church must have worked, because we are finally getting what we never knew we always really wanted - a TV version of Joe Duffy's famous show Liveline.
The news was announced today by the Irish Daily Star and Joe Duffy confirmed saying; "We are doing a pilot programme for TV. It's very exciting."
'Shure, shure.'
The format of the show will see them revisit Liveline stories of the past to see how they are faring now, with the idea stemming from Joe's autobiography 'Just Joe', published in 2011.

"There's a big section in it about Liveline and various stories from it. Some over in TV said we should go back and speak to those families and find out what happened to them."
Shooting for the pilot will begin today out in RTE, and will be seen by viewers in the summer. If it proves popular, it will then be developed into a series.
Inevitably it will though, because if anybody doesn't like it, who the hell are they going to complain to?
