Anyone who watched Channel 4's The Mad World of Donald Trump on Tuesday night will know how close this narcissist is to getting himself a Republican Nomination, and therefore, a real chance to become the next President of The United States. This is extremely frightening.
Despite the New Yorker being a billionaire, he seems to resonate with parts of Middle America, the "silent majority". He's tapping into fear and latent racism. In short, he can not get into power, and hopefully, his absence from last night's Republican Debate will work against him. He says he refused to appear as it was being moderated by Fox's Megyn Kelly, who is was extremely disrespectful to him the past when she questioned his views towards women (aka half of the electorate. In short, he essentially said she must have been menstruating at the time of the comment). Fox claims he demanded $5 million to appear, which they refused. Either way, he's still a contender.
One of the only things that will stop Trump getting into power is if celebrities start out about what a danger he is, a man who speaks in hate-filled bumper stickers (just one example of this is "Hilary wants to take your guns away"). Hopefully, Thelma and Louise star Susan Sarandon is the first of many celebs to highlight how he's not the best choice for president.

Speaking via People Magazine, the actress and political activist said: "He reminds me of your drunk uncle at a wedding, who gets up and starts talking and just loves the crowd. He's like a figure from a Kurt Vonnegut novel … I can't even address him seriously. I mean, he doesn't even have a consistency or any kind of rational anything... What concerns me is not him," she continued. "What concerns me is that he has made hatred and racism normal. He's normalized it. He's taking this, you know, undercurrent of discontent that's looking to blame somebody and he's legitimized those feelings and that, I think, is a very dangerous thing."
All is not lost, however: "I cannot believe for a second that America would actually make Donald Trump the president. Republicans are not all bad, they're not all crazy, they're not all greedy. I think there's some very sane Republicans and they must be so embarrassed by what's going on right now."
