The answer is Daylight Savings Time.
Samuel Peterson was born at 1:39am on Sunday the 6th of November. His brother Ronan was born 31 minutes later. However, at that point the clocks had already gone back an hour, meaning his time of birth was 1.10am on the 6th of November.
The clocks go back at 2am in the first Sunday of November in the US as opposed to 1am on the last Sunday of October in Europe.
Cape Cod Healthcare posted the quirky birth time paradox to their Facebook page and the post has since gone viral.
The boys' father, Seth Peterson predicted earlier in the day that something like this might occur.
"I said earlier that night that they were either going to be born on two different days or the time change was going to come into play."
