Kim Kardashian 'broke her social media silence' a week or so ago after a months-long hiatus following the top newsworthy event of 2016, The Paris Robbery.
The first snap she posted was a very sweet family portrait, a moment in time that definitely wasn't staged. (North's a pro at the mannequin challenge, though, it seems.) Her second snap was just as cute; just Kim and her son heart shaped emoji, and some very long, swishy, shiny hair. That was the first glance into Kim K 17.
Over the past week, she's been dribbling out family photos that kind of look like ones from the '80s that didn't make it to the album. There's Kanye eating - all by himself! - standing up in the not very chic kitchen. There's Kim watching her children play in the barest room we've ever seen a Kardashian in, while sitting on a couch that may or may not have bed bugs. Those slippers, though. And the hair!

Which begs the question. Where are they? Who's taking the pictures? What's the point? Does Kanye really eat while standing? Did Kim have that couch fumigated before sitting on it? Why on earth include this pic of Kanye presumably pointing out where Kim sat on something that stuck to her ass?
These photos are obviously supposed to portray a happy normal family (albeit one with really good hair) and the style is deliberately nostalgic. I even think the photos may have been developed that way! #NoFilter It's also such a huge, deliberate style change from the Kim before the robbery, which was all glamour and jewels and boobs.
While we think she'll keep the hair and the pared-back style for a while, Kim's already tiring of the saturated style. Her latest post is her and Scott Disick in some garden somewhere, apparently on the way to Dubai. Again, however, it's 'real'. See how her legs are cut off, and she's caught mid-scolding her servant for not being able to carry all of her suitcases at once.

Say what you will about Kim, but she'll always find a way to surprise you. We can't wait to see the Dubai pics.
