In case you hadn't heard, the #WakingtheFeminists campaign instigated as a reaction to the lack of female playwrights on the Abbey Theatre's 2016 programme and now it has gained an international audience.
The one and only Meryl Streep and pal Christine Baranski (love her in The Good Wife, will always remember her as the best friend in Cybill) have lent their support to the campaign. There they are now, holding a sign saying '#WakingtheFeminists - I support Irish women in Irish theatre'. They are joined in the photo by Irish actress and playwright Laoisa Sexton. It's not just us that thinks this is very cool, is it?

They're not the only high-profile Hollywood actors who have joined the cause, Grace from Will & Grace (fine, Debra Messing) announced her support at the weekend.
A debate on the topic of the Abbey's programme is to be held in the theatre next Thursday at 1 pm. Would you be interested in heading along? What's your take on it?
