Packer reportedly got down on one knee at a restaurant in New York yesterday and presented Carey with a whopper of a '35 carat diamond ring', according to E! News.
They quote an 'insider' as saying: "They fell head over heels in love with one another. It's crazy how perfect they are together, they both know it and couldn't be happier."
