Magic Mike XXL is in that category of film that will do extremely well with one particular section of the cinematic audience and receive ashen-faced reviews from almost everyone else.
That said, the first one - though on the surface just a film about male strippers - had an interesting dramatic and emotional core. There was also a hella lot of thrusting.
In any case, Magic Mike did extremely well at the box office and sure enough, The Divine Mr. Tatum got to work on another script.
Magic Mike XXL will see new cast-members Elizabeth Banks, Jada Pinkett Smith and Andie MacDowell joining the fun with Channing Tatum set to return in some on-screen capacity.
