Madonna has weighed into the debate sparked by Elton John's enraged reaction to Dolce and Gabanna's views on the "traditional family."
In case you didn't catch it, the designers claimed that in an interview with Italy's Panorama magazine, that, "The only family is the traditional one". OK, that's their opinion. Everyone's allowed to have one.
Then they went on to say "No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed... You are born to a mother and a father - or at least that's how it should be. I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Rented uterus, semen chosen from a catalog." Oh.
Elton John retaliated with "How dare you refer to my beautiful children as 'synthetic'. And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF - a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana."
And now Madonna's gotten herself involved, with a very valid point. She posted this pic of her from a D&G ad campaign with the below caption.

"All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below! Think before you speak.,,,,,,,,,,, #livingforlove"
It's a bit of a tricky one to discuss but we have to say we like Madonna's style! Living for Love is a nice motto, too. Where do you weigh in on this controversial topic?
