Welcome to the world, Baby Amy! Johnny Sexton has become a dad for a second time yesterday when wife Laura gave birth. Both mammy and baby are reportedly doing well.
Kicking coach Richie Murphy broke the news via a press conference today. Speaking of Johnny's form after the extremely physical Six Nations opening match against Wales on Sunday, Murphy said he's "very happy obviously because his wife had a baby girl yesterday... We’re hoping that he’ll be fine for the weekend. His shoulder area, he’s a little bit stiff and sore."
Amy is the second child for the couple, who wed back in 2013 after a decade together. She will be little sister to their 19-month-old son Luca. No doubt they'll be tackling each other over toys in the not too distant future. C'mon, we had to shoehorn a tenuous rugby pun in there somewhere. It's almost mandatory.
